Cheese Puff "Carrots"

Here is my favorite Easter craft! I borrowed this idea from a friend of mine a few years ago and I have been using it ever since!

Supplies:
Disposable, plastic pastry bags
cheese puffs
curling ribbon
gift tags (optional)

Fill pastry bags 3/4 of the way full with cheese puffs (or anything orange). Tie with curling ribbon. Attach tag. Give to some very happy children! What can be better than a cheeto carrot?!

Instructions for tags:
The tags were cut using my Cricut Expression and the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. Here are the specifics:

Tag - 3 inches
Flower - 1 1/2 inches on shadow
Using auto-fill on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock, it makes 10 tags per sheet and 24 flowers per sheet. I just used plain colored cardstock that I got from Walmart.

Face stamp on the flower is from Peachy Keen Stamps - Basic Paper Doll Assortment and I used the 3/4 inch stamp in various expressions.

The {HUGS} stamp is from My Pink Stamper - Simply Sweet Occasions.

I did not get very fancy with the tags or with tying the ribbon. Let's face it - these are for 4 and 5 year olds at my boys' school and all the kids care about are getting into the bag for the cheetos. They will not be looking at the tag and ribbon and saying "how cute"!! But they are REALLY cute!!!

Hope you enjoy and thanks GW for the idea!!

Kinsr

I had a great day today! I got some new pictures of Kinsr - the cutest grandson in the world - and I got an email from his daddy! Wacey is doing well. He is somewhere near Djibouti. (The boys think that name is hilarious by the way.) Of course, he's ready to come home! Not liking life on the ship. He said the food sucks. Anyway, he's well and I'm glad he emailed.

Card-Making 101!

Here are a couple of cards that I made recently. Puppy Love was for my grandson, Kinsr. The card with the green/white cupcake was for my brother-in-law's birthday. The white/brown cupcake card was for my husband's birthday. The little farmer with green tractor was for my nephew. And the last card was an extra that I made.
I had alot of fun making these cards! But I have to be in a "creative" mood! Thanks for looking!!

My Pink Stamper

I've really been enjoying my Cricut. I've had it almost a year. I ordered it over spring break last year and I used it for about a month, put it aside and now I've been really getting back into it thanks to some talented people (and their blogs) who have inspired me. One of my favorites is Robyn at My Pink Stamper (www.mypinkstamper.com). She is great! Check it out!

I hope to post some of my creations on this blog eventually. I'm really into card-making right now. It's sooo much fun.

Let's try this again!!

Ok...so I did not do well last year with my blog at all!! I just never added anything to it! I guess I didn't really know what to say. But now I have a new grandbaby, I'm really getting into my crafting and card-making courtesy of my Cricut, and of course, my boys!!! Soooo, I'm giving it another try.

OMG...it's been over a year since I posted something on my blog!!! WOW! I'm really bad at this!!

DO-OVER!!
