Duchess

This is my baby! Duchess. She is a rotten little thing. The other day she had been playing outside with the "big" dogs and was quite dirty. So I brought her in for a bath. She got all cleaned up and fluffy. Then she wanted to go outside - like she had to go potty. So I took her out and all she wanted to do was get in the car. She thought that since she was looking so good that she was going to get to GO! It was late so I told her no but she could go with me in the morning to take the boys to school.

Well, she was mad! Really mad. And sad. When Jim got home he asked what was wrong with her. She looked so dejected. I told him the story and he laughed and said she looked so sad.

Well, the next day I forgot that I was going to Corpus with a friend and she did NOT get to go with me to take the boys to school. And of course, she was mad. Very mad. When I returned home, she had pooped all over the floor. I mean poop everywhere. (She does not normally do this.) I guess that was my punishment for not taking her!

Good to Go!

So, I went to the doctor on Monday and I am all clear! Good to go! Good as new! (Yeah right!) I tried to get him to give me a note saying "no housework" for at least 6 months but no such luck. And....Jim would not believe me when I said I could do anything except housework. Go figure!

The Kids Are Back

Here is a picture of my granddog - Duke Nukem. Isn't he cute?
Just talked to Wacey and they are back from their honeymoon in Cancun. He said they had a great time. It was about 82 degrees and the water was a little cool but he swam in it anyway. The flew back to Minnesota and will leave for North Carolina tomorrow. Back to work for Wacey! It's tough being a grown up!

The Wedding

Minnesota was COOOOLLLLLDDDDD! This is coming from a Texas girl you know! The day before we left it was 90 degrees here in south Texas. We get to MN and it's in the teens and twenties. Thank God it was not minus teens and minus twenties!

Minnesota was beautiful and white. White, white everywhere. Lots of snow. I think Jake and Chance stepped in every bit of snow they could find. They loved playing in the snow with Wacey and Duke. I was not there at the time so I have no pictures of it unfortunately. In fact, I only have one snow picture and it did not turn out that well.

The wedding was absolutely beautiful. The bride was gorgeous and the groom was handsome in his "blues".

Everything about it was perfect except I wish there would have been more of my family there. But I know they were there in spirit.

Getting Started

I know a few people who are doing the "blogging" thing so I thought I would try it out myself. You know a copycat! Like I don't have enough to do!
